The state has a $3.2 billion deficit and they could ask you for more money. We have been able to stop legislation in the past that would have raised real estate tax 130%. Unless they hear our objections now, taxes may be increased on our homes to fix the hole in the state budget. Now is not the time to raise taxes. Family budgets are already stretched and the health of the housing market is critical to a recovering economy.
